| D-LDH

D-Lactate Dehydrogenase is a protein that is encoded by the ldhd gene.This protein belongs to the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family. The similar protein in yeast has both D-lactate and D-glycerate dehydrogenase activities.D-lactate metabolized by the enzyme d-lactate dehydrogenase.autosomal recessive gout with hyperuricemia and underexcretion of uric acid can be caused by a mutation in lactate dehydrogenase D (LDHD), resulting in excess blood d-lactate that is excreted in exchange for reabsorbed uric acid.
